Itinerary
Day 1 : San Cristóbal Island: Kicker Rock & Cerro Brujo
Upon arrival at San Cristóbal Airport, guests will be welcomed and transferred to the Galaxy II Cruise. A welcome drink and lunch will be provided.
Kicker Rock (León Dormido): This iconic rock formation consists of two towering cliffs, reaching 148 meters above sea level, resembling a sleeping lion. While no disembarkation is allowed, visitors will navigate between these impressive formations.
Cerro Brujo: An eroded tuff cone formed by lava, featuring low-viscosity lava flows that broke apart upon solidification, pushed forward by subsequent lava flows.
Day 2 : Santa Fe Island & South Plaza Island
Santa Fe Island: A wet landing leads to opportunities for hiking, swimming, and snorkeling. This 24 km² island, rising 60 meters above sea level, features a turquoise bay protected by natural rock formations. Wildlife includes sea lion colonies, Galápagos hawks, land iguanas, crabs, marine iguanas, and various bird species. The bay is ideal for snorkeling, where visitors can encounter sea turtles, rays, and tropical fish. Snacks and refreshments will be available on board, followed by lunch.
South Plaza Island: A small uplifted landmass home to smaller land iguanas and sea birds nesting along dramatic cliffs. The island is also inhabited by a large colony of approximately 1,000 sea lions, mostly found on its southern shore.
Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner
Day 3 : North Seymour Island & Mosquera Islet
North Seymour Island: Formed by the uplift of volcanic marine lava, this island contains marine fossils from the Pleistocene era. In 1932, 72 land iguanas from Baltra Island were relocated here due to better environmental conditions, where they thrived. The island’s dense vegetation serves as a nesting ground for Galápagos frigate birds.
Mosquera Islet: Situated between Baltra and North Seymour, this small islet is home to the largest colony of sea lions, making it an excellent location for observing various seabird species.
Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner
Day 4 : Genovesa Island: Darwin Bay & El Barranco
Darwin Bay: A wet landing on a coral beach offers activities such as photography, short walks, swimming, and snorkeling. The surrounding mangrove forest hosts colonies of frigatebirds, marine iguanas, red-footed and Nazca boobies, finches, herons, and gulls. After the land visit, guests can enjoy swimming in the bay, followed by lunch.
El Barranco (Prince Philip’s Steps): A dry landing leads to a hike along a path offering stunning views of various bird species, including petrels, red-footed boobies, finches, and doves.
Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner
Day 5 : Santa Cruz Island: Carrion Point & Departure
Carrion Point: Located in the northeastern part of Santa Cruz, this area provides a scenic boat tour along the coastline, offering opportunities to spot diverse seabird species nesting on rocky cliffs. Following the excursion, guests will be transferred for departure.
