Itinerary
Day 1 : Baltra Island & Bartolome Island
Day 2 : Rabida Island & Santiago Island
Explore Rabida Island, known for its striking red-sand beach due to high iron content. Walk along the shore, spot pink flamingos in the lagoon, and snorkel in waters rich with marine life. Later, visit Santiago Island, where tide pools and lava formations create a unique habitat for fur seals, marine iguanas, and sea turtles.
Day 3 : Genovesa Island – Darwin Bay & El Barranco
Arrive at Darwin Bay, a picturesque coral beach surrounded by mangroves. Hike through the trails to see red-footed boobies, swallow-tailed gulls, and marine iguanas. At El Barranco, also known as Prince Philip’s Steps, climb a rocky trail leading to a plateau where short-eared owls and all three booby species nest.
Day 4 : Mosquera Islet & Santa Cruz Highlands
Take a panga ride around Mosquera Islet, home to one of the largest sea lion colonies. Keep an eye out for orcas hunting along the shore. Then, explore the Santa Cruz Highlands, a lush, green contrast to the islands’ volcanic landscapes. Walk among giant tortoises in their natural habitat and discover underground lava tunnels.
Day 5 : North Seymour Island & Departure
End your adventure at North Seymour Island, famous for its blue-footed booby and frigatebird colonies. Walk along rocky trails and observe land iguanas basking in the sun. After this final visit, transfer to the airport for your departure.
