Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival At Baltra Airport – Bartolomé Island
Day 2 : Floreana Island: Devil’s Crown / Cormorant Point – Baroness’ Lookout / Post Office Bay
After breakfast, your first stop will be Devil’s Crown, a submerged volcanic crater teeming with marine life and vibrant coral reefs. Alternatively, visit Cormorant Point, where you’ll set foot on a green olivine sand beach and follow a short trail to a lagoon where flamingos can often be spotted.
In the afternoon, head to the Baroness’ Lookout, a scenic viewpoint on Floreana Island, where your guide will share intriguing stories of the island’s mysterious past. Another option is visiting Post Office Bay, where you can see the famous post barrel historically used by whalers for mail delivery.
Day 3 : Santiago Island: Chinese Hat – North Seymour Island
Start the day with a visit to Chinese Hat, a small islet near Santiago Island, rising 160 feet (52 meters) above sea level. This remote location is typically accessible only through a Galapagos cruise.
In the afternoon, explore North Seymour Island, known for its flat terrain formed by volcanic uplift. The island is home to the largest colony of magnificent frigatebirds in the Galapagos, along with blue-footed boobies that perform their fascinating courtship dance during nesting season.
Day 4 : Santa Cruz Island: Black Turtle Cove – Departure From Baltra Airport
After breakfast, visit Black Turtle Cove on the northern coast of Santa Cruz Island. This tranquil mangrove sanctuary offers a glimpse into a thriving marine ecosystem. While gliding through its calm waters, you may spot spotted eagle rays, mustard rays, white-tipped reef sharks, and Pacific green sea turtles surfacing for air. The area is also frequented by pelicans, herons, and egrets.
