Your adventure begins upon arrival in the Galapagos Islands, where you’ll travel to the highlands of Santa Cruz. This lush, green region is a stark contrast to the coastal areas and is home to the iconic giant tortoises roaming freely in their natural habitat. You’ll also explore lava tunnels—underground formations created by ancient volcanic activity. This introduction to the Galapagos showcases the islands’ diverse ecosystems before you board the Bonita Yacht for your cruise.

Start your day at Cormorant Point, where you’ll find a green sand beach (colored by olivine crystals) and a brackish lagoon often visited by flamingos. A short walk leads to a white sand beach, a nesting site for green sea turtles. Snorkeling at Devil’s Crown, an eroded volcanic crater, offers encounters with reef sharks, sea lions, and colorful fish. In the afternoon, visit Post Office Bay, a historical site where sailors once left letters in a wooden barrel. You can participate in this tradition by leaving or picking up a postcard.

Punta Suárez is one of the most impressive wildlife sites in the Galapagos. This rugged coastline is home to a large colony of marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, and the waved albatross (present from April to December). The dramatic cliffs provide nesting sites for seabirds and offer stunning ocean views. Later, relax at Gardner Bay, a beautiful white-sand beach inhabited by sea lions. Snorkeling here may reveal tropical fish, rays, and white-tip reef sharks.

Arriving at San Cristóbal, your first stop is the Interpretation Center, where you’ll learn about the history, geology, and conservation efforts of the Galapagos Islands. Next, explore Lobos Island, known for its large sea lion colony and nesting blue-footed boobies. Snorkeling in the calm waters here provides a chance to swim alongside playful sea lions, marine iguanas, and sea turtles.

On your final day, you’ll pass by Daphne Island, a volcanic tuff cone known for its abundant birdlife, including Nazca boobies, frigatebirds, and finches. This island plays a crucial role in scientific research on bird populations. After enjoying the last views of the archipelago, you’ll be transferred to the Baltra Airport for your return flight.
