Itinerary
Day 1 : North Seymour Island
Day 2 : Chinese Hat Islet & Bartolome Island
In the morning, visit Chinese Hat Islet, a small volcanic cone near Santiago Island. Walk along its scenic trails and snorkel in the surrounding waters, where you may spot reef sharks, sea turtles, and colorful fish. In the afternoon, hike to the summit of Bartolome Island for one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the Galapagos. Pinnacle Rock, one of the most photographed landmarks, is also a great spot for snorkeling, where you may swim alongside Galapagos penguins.
Day 3 : Genovesa Island: Darwin Bay & El Barranco
Begin your day at Darwin Bay, a stunning white coral beach surrounded by mangroves, home to red-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, and swallow-tailed gulls. Enjoy a scenic hike with incredible birdwatching opportunities. In the afternoon, visit El Barranco (Prince Philip’s Steps), a steep rocky trail leading to a plateau with spectacular views. This area is home to Galapagos storm petrels, Galapagos doves, and Palo Santo trees.
Day 4 : Santiago Island: Egas Port & Rabida Island
Explore Egas Port on Santiago Island, a rugged coastline with volcanic rock formations and natural tide pools. This is a great spot to see Galapagos fur seals, hawks, and lava lizards. Later, visit Rabida Island, famous for its striking red sand beaches and diverse birdlife, including Galapagos hawks and finches. A short hike leads to a stunning viewpoint, and snorkeling here reveals a rich underwater world of tropical fish and sea lions.
Day 5 : Santa Cruz Island: Fausto Llerena Breeding Center & Departure
Visit the Fausto Llerena Breeding Center in Puerto Ayora, where you can observe giant tortoises of different ages and learn about conservation efforts. Walk among these ancient reptiles before heading to Baltra Airport for your return flight.
