Begin the day on Santa Fe Island, one of the oldest in the archipelago, known for its giant prickly pear cactus forest and endemic pale-yellow land iguanas. Trek across scenic trails and snorkel in the protected bay alongside sea lions and colorful reef fish. In the afternoon, explore South Plaza Island, a compact yet visually striking landscape with vivid vegetation, dramatic cliffs, and diverse seabird colonies. This day is rich in both terrestrial and marine wildlife encounters, showcasing the islands’ stunning biodiversity.
Day 3 : Genovesa Island: Darwin Bay & El Barranco
Today’s adventures take place within the caldera of Genovesa Island. Start at Darwin Bay, a white coral beach teeming with red-footed boobies and great frigatebirds performing elaborate courtship displays. In the afternoon, climb El Barranco, also known as Prince Philip’s Steps, to reach a high plateau where Nazca boobies and storm petrels thrive. As you explore the Palo Santo forest and cliffside, keep an eye out for fur seals nestled among the rocks. Kayaking and snorkeling opportunities round out this wildlife-rich day.

Morning brings you to Chinese Hat, a small islet with striking lava formations and one of the best snorkeling sites in the Galapagos. Swim alongside rays, reef sharks, and tropical fish, or kayak along the coastline. In the afternoon, visit Dragon Hill, home to a once-endangered population of land iguanas. The hike offers beautiful views and access to a saltwater lagoon frequented by flamingos, ducks, and endemic birds. The day combines scenic exploration with rewarding encounters both above and below the waterline.
