Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival At Baltra Airport – Bartolomé Island
Day 2 : Floreana Island: Devil’s Crown / Cormorant Point – Baroness’ Lookout / Post Office Bay
After breakfast, visit Devil’s Crown, a submerged volcanic crater that forms a natural snorkeling haven with rich coral reefs and diverse marine life. Alternatively, explore Cormorant Point, where a walk along a green olivine sand beach leads to a lagoon home to flamingos.
In the afternoon, head to the Baroness’ Lookout for panoramic island views while learning about Floreana’s intriguing history. Another option is a stop at Post Office Bay, where you can see the historic post barrel used by sailors to send letters in centuries past.
Day 3 : Santiago Island: Chinese Hat – North Seymour Island
Start your day with a visit to Chinese Hat, a small islet off Santiago Island’s southern coast, featuring lava formations and a unique landscape. This location is often accessible only via cruise.
In the afternoon, explore North Seymour Island, a low-lying landmass created by underwater volcanic uplift. It is covered with dry vegetation and hosts the largest colony of magnificent frigatebirds in the Galapagos. The island is also home to blue-footed boobies, which perform their signature courtship dance when nesting conditions allow.
Day 4 : Santa Cruz Island: Black Turtle Cove – Las Bachas Beach
After breakfast, set out to discover Black Turtle Cove on Santa Cruz’s northern coast, a serene mangrove ecosystem where you may spot eagle rays, mustard rays, white-tipped reef sharks, and Pacific green sea turtles. Pelicans, herons, and egrets also frequent this peaceful cove.
Later in the afternoon, visit Las Bachas Beach, a pristine white-sand shore where sea turtles lay their eggs. Enjoy a leisurely stroll, snorkeling in calm waters, or spotting remnants of World War II barges—giving the site its name.
Day 5 : Genovesa Island: Darwin Bay & El Barranco
Begin your day at Darwin Bay, the only sandy beach within Genovesa’s caldera, where great frigatebirds nest. Males inflate their striking red throat pouches to attract females, while red-footed boobies can be seen nesting in trees rather than on the ground.
In the afternoon, explore El Barranco (Prince Philip’s Steps), a stairway carved into the cliffs leading to a plateau. Here, you will encounter colonies of masked boobies, frigatebirds, storm petrels, and short-eared owls. A walk through a Scalesia forest will take you back to your vessel.
Day 6 : Santa Cruz Island: Twin Craters – Departure From Baltra Airport
Start your final day with a visit to the Twin Craters in Santa Cruz’s highlands. These impressive sinkholes, approximately 30 meters deep, are surrounded by a lush Scalesia forest, where you may spot yellow warblers and vermilion flycatchers.
After this last excursion, transfer to Baltra Airport for your return flight to mainland Ecuador. Assistance and farewell at the airport.
