Itinerary

Day 1 : Santa Cruz Island: Charles Darwin Station

Arrive in Santa Cruz and embark on your yacht. In the afternoon, visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, where you’ll learn about conservation efforts and see Galapagos giant tortoises of all ages, from hatchlings to fully grown adults. Walk through the breeding center and observe these gentle giants up close as they prepare for reintroduction into the wild.

Day 2 : Genovesa Island: El Barranco & Darwin Bay

Begin your day at El Barranco, also known as Prince Philip’s Steps, where a steep climb leads to breathtaking views of the island’s cliffs and abundant birdlife. Encounter red-footed boobies, Galapagos swallows, and short-eared owls. In the afternoon, explore Darwin Bay, a stunning white-sand beach surrounded by mangroves. Hike along a scenic trail to observe swallow-tailed gulls, frigate birds, and playful sea lions in tidal pools.

Day 3 : Rabida Island & Chinese Hat

Visit Rabida Island, known for its striking red-sand beach and diverse bird species, including Darwin’s finches and Galapagos hawks. Snorkel in its clear waters, home to sea lions, rays, and reef fish. In the afternoon, head to Chinese Hat, a small volcanic islet with lava formations and tide pools. This location offers excellent snorkeling, with chances to see marine iguanas, Galapagos penguins, and white-tipped reef sharks.

Day 4 : San Cristobal Island: Witch Hill & Lobos Island

Explore the picturesque Witch Hill, a pristine white-sand beach with turquoise waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Encounter sea turtles, stingrays, and colorful reef fish. In the afternoon, visit Lobos Island, home to a large sea lion colony. Watch blue-footed boobies and frigate birds nesting along the rocky shores, and enjoy a final snorkeling session with playful marine life.

Day 5 : San Cristobal Island: Interpretation Center & Departure

Before departing, visit the Interpretation Center in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno to learn about the history, conservation, and future of the Galapagos Islands. Gain insight into ongoing efforts to protect this fragile ecosystem before transferring to the airport for your return flight.
